RetLivo ("we", "us") operates retlivo.com. This page explains what data we handle and the choices you have. The short version: your cost, price and desired margin are processed on your own device and never leave your browser.

Scope of this policy

The tool this page covers is RetLivo, a profit margin calculator. Put simply, it works out profit margin, markup and selling price from a cost and a target margin, reporting gross and net figures as it goes, and the way it does so is this: it divides profit by revenue for a margin and by cost for a markup — the two are easily confused, and showing both together is what stops a price being set from the wrong one. Everything stated here applies to that tool and the values it handles, and to nothing else.

In day-to-day use the tool works only from your cost, price and desired margin, and it is usually opened for things like pricing a product from its cost. None of that reaches us, so none of it can be stored.

Your inputs

The tool runs entirely client-side. What you type is used locally and only locally: there is no server round-trip, no log line, and no record kept anywhere but on your own screen for as long as the page is open.

Amounts, rates and balances

Balances, rates and income figures stay on your device. They are read to produce the projection on screen and are never written to a server, a log file or an analytics event.

Retention and security

RetLivo keeps nothing that identifies you and nothing you calculated. The only security surface that matters is the site's own delivery, which is encrypted throughout and patched when it needs to be.

Under-13 users

These tools are built for a general adult audience rather than for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and would remove it on being told.

Your rights

You may have statutory rights over personal data — to access, amend, erase or object to its processing, depending on your jurisdiction. You can exercise them by writing to us; in most cases there will be no stored data to act on.

How this policy changes

If the way we handle data ever changes, this page will be revised and the date at the top adjusted accordingly. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.

Technical data gathered automatically

Delivering a page necessarily produces some technical detail at the edge: an IP address, a browser string, the path requested and when. RetLivo uses that only to serve and protect the site. It is not stitched together with whatever you enter into the tool.

Cookies and advertising

The only cookie we set ourselves is a small preference flag for the consent notice. Advertising is served by third parties, and those partners may place their own cookies to tailor the ads you see. You can refuse or clear them in your browser without losing any functionality — the tool itself has no dependency on cookies.

How we measure usage

We watch which of the RetLivo tools get used, in aggregate, so that effort goes where it is useful. That is the extent of it — no individual profile, and no analytics event ever includes the values you entered.
